Senior Division FAQs

Q:  My son and his best friend want to play together.  Can they be on the same team?

A:  Due to the high number of similar requests each year, we cannot accommodate any requests that players other than siblings be paired on the same team.

Q:  My son cannot practice on a certain day.  Can he be placed on a team that practices on other days?

A:  We do our best to accommodate practice schedule requests, however, due to gym availability we cannot guarantee that your son will be placed on a team for which he can attend all practice times.  We attempt to make sure that each player is on a team for which he can make at least two hours of practice per week.

Q:  What times are practices and games?

A:  Each team has two practices per week, sometime between 5:00-9:00, Monday-Friday.  Games are on Saturday and Sunday between 9:00-5:30.

Q:  My son played in the Senior Division last year.  Does he have to tryout again?

A:  No. If your son played in the Senior Division last year, once you register him, we will place him on the same team he was on last year, and his coach will contact you prior to the start of practices.

Q: Is my daughter allowed to play in the WHYBL?

A: Yes, although the town does have a separate girls division, here is the link www.whgirlsbasketball.com.  Parents/Guardians should determine which division is appropriate for their child.
